Dear Mr. Gross:

I am writing in response to your voice mail message to Jeri Cauthorn regarding the status of Seven Locks Road Sidewalk and Bikeway project. Ms. Cauthorn forwarded your message to me.

I am the Project Manager for the Seven Locks Road Sidewalk and Bikeway Facility Planning, Phase I project.

A Notice-to-Proceed was issued just yesterday on December 7, 2005 for our consultant to begin work on the study. It is my hope that the first kick-off meeting with government agency representatives will not be until January 2006. After some preliminary work has been completed, a public meeting will be scheduled to inform the public of the project and to receive input before we proceed further on the study.

Below is additional information on the project:

Project Name: Seven Locks Road Sidewalk and Bikeway

Scope:

This project provides for facility planning for: (1)a bikeway on both sides of Seven Locks from Montrose Road to Bradley Blvd. to provide for 2-way commuter bike traffic; (2) missing segments of sidewalk on both sides of Seven Locks Road from Montrose Road to Bradley Blvd.; (3) and the need for left turn, acceleration and deceleration lanes at Bells Mill Road, Muirfield Drive, and Grand Teton Drive.

Please feel free to contact me anytime.
